Apple Certification Authority?

Well, after a successful start on Leopard, it seems that Apple has indeed thrown us one (possibly major) obstacle. After reviewing the system itself, it appears that kexts, frameworks, and some applications have been digitally signed. There is no word yet if it is possible to hack said signed executables, or if it is merely done as a sanity check to ensure that certain files have not been compromised by an outside source, but it sure looks like an ominous sign.

More to come as progress is made

Any more news on this? It doesn't seem to affect anything looking at the number of installers kicking about?
